Fall has arrived... the start of the best time of year- the BER months! We have had a nice September as we've settled into our school rhythms and slowed down just a little bit from the summer hype. In chronological order with my own commentary, here is our month: We love school by the fireside, usually with something warm to drink. Recess at the pond is always a good day. We've been studying leaves, pumpkins, apples, and soon bats and spiders! This year, we have a heavy focus on geography. Last year we learned all about the 50 states and this year we are spending time learning about different countries. I hung up all the different flags in our school room to encourage our studies. We got library cards for Ewan and Eleanor so now instead of checking out 100 books between Isla and my cards, we can now check out 200 books! And you know we will. This week, we checked out 72 :) We are still working towards 1,000 hours outside and I actually think this year we will make it! Catching...
