We've had a very busy week! I find Isla and myself do MUCH better when we can get out at least once during the day. If we stay home all day, she gets bored and fussy and I lose my mind! It'll be challenging come colder weather, so we are soaking up the end of summer days with lots of play outside!
This week we had mom's group, which is a favorite for both of us, we went to the library where there are so many fun things for littles, we had TWO play dates at parks with friends, and we did some shopping. Isla is just at the beginning of enjoying these activities. I'm so glad I get to experience every day with her in settings like this. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Check out our week:
On Tuesday, we had a fun play date with our friends, the Springers, before they moved to Michigan. Genevieve and Isla were making me "quesadillas and chocolate cake" here. Isla loves watching kids play. She was happy to join G in her game.
Probably our favorite part of parks is the swing! Isla used to hate it, but now she loves to swing!
On Thursday, we took a trip to the Normal Public Library. Everything is Isla sized. She really enjoyed the lego table. A little girl, about 5 years old, came over and started playing with Isla. I said, "Isla, look a new friend!". The girl turned to me and said, "How did you know my name?". Apparently her name was Isla too. She thought that was hilarious. Unfortunately, it's a very popular name. I either run into other Islas (spelled Ila or Ayla sometimes) or people think her name is pronounced Iss-luh.
This was at the library too. She loves to look at the cute baby in the mirror!
When we got home, I wanted to wash the germs away (so many germs!). So we did some water play with soap. She loves to play in the water. Check out the video!
She was having so much fun, that we took the play to the bath. Water play is a great way to enjoy all the senses and get cleaned at the same time!
On Friday, we had ANOTHER play date with my mom's group. Isla has some little friends that are pretty close in age. They are too cute together.
I always hear moms saying "we don't climb slides", but unless someone is coming down... I don't see the problem. She loves exploring and it was fun going up and slipping down.
On Friday night, we took Daddy to the library to show him how fun it can be!
On Saturday morning, Mommy and Isla had a date while Daddy went on a bike ride. We went to the Farmer's Market and got some coffee. We had to bundle up because it's cold in the mornings!
We had a great and busy week! Thanks for stopping by :)
