New House

We are officially moved into our new house and we love it! We've been spending all our spare time unpacking, decorating, cleaning, and learning to live in our new place. I keep saying I am so grateful for this house to call our own. Although I did cry when we said goodbye to our Cedar ct. house, but we have officially closed on that house too! We are all really content and happy right now :) Now if only Michael and I could agree on our decorating styles ;)

We closed on our house and then Michael went on a climbing trip. So we spent a week slowly moving in, cleaning, and painting. The kids enjoyed exploring the house for the first time!

Then we finally moved in and I'm forever grateful for all the babysitting and help of my in-laws!

First up, some paint. The grandpas and Michael spent some time painting and did a great job! I have some more painting projects, but I have to space them out or I'll overwork the helpers :)

Our first BIG project is going to be the kitchen. We plan to do that in the spring. It needs some new counters and a fresh backsplash. I have a lot of other projects in mind, but I'm learning to take things slow and live here awhile before making big decisions. Although, I do spend all my free time looking at materials at Lowes :) What are your favorites?

The one room I've been working hard on is our master! We still need a new bedroom set and something to hang above the bed (it's a huge wall!), but it's 85% done. It only took several orders of pillow cases to find the right ones :)

The kids love the new house. They love to go up and down the stairs and they spend a lot of time in their new playroom. Isla even got her pink room that she wanted :)

I feel so blessed to be living in such a beautiful space. We've spent most of the last month at our new house, but of course some of that time has been outside!

One morning, the snow started coming down as we had breakfast. So we lit the candles and watched the snow fall. Then we all went outside and even spied on daddy through the basement window while he worked. Then we came in for some well earned cocoa.

I've been so proud of how the kids have transitioned. We said goodbye to our old house and the kids seemed to understand it was time to move on. Since then, they've spent their time learning all about our new place.

Here are some other things we've squeezed in between all the unpacking and adjusting:

We even had our first party at the house! Rah-Rah, Trevor, and cousin Easton were in town and we celebrated Nana and my birthday! It was a fun time :)

I can't wait to post more pictures as we update the house!! See you soon :)
