All sorts of fun things have been happening around here. Here are the latest updates on our lives:
Isla loves to play in the snow. Daddy and her built her first snowman.
Every week we go to church, we put Isla in the nursery. It always ends in a disaster. We get buzzed out because they can't calm her down. We've tried snacks and specific instructions for the nursery workers, but it always ends terribly. The last week she went to nursery, they called us out after 20 minutes. Isla was literally hyperventilating and the veins in her neck were popping out. I refused to put her in there after that. So we've just been watching church online, but that's not really a habit we want to encourage. So we decided to take her into church with us (we tried this before and it ends up with one of us leaving with her because she wants to run or scream). This time, we fed her one snack at a time and it worked. We ran out of snacks right at the end of the sermon, but she found a baby behind us that kept her entertained. I'm proud of her and we'll keep trying this until it doesn't work.
This girl drinks a smoothie almost every day for breakfast!
I'm not going to tell her she's eating it wrong.
No matter how pink her nose is, the girl wants to be outside!
A couple weeks ago we had a ton of snow. It was a perfect winter day. We played outside, then came into snuggle by the fire, and eat hot soup. It was beautiful and what winter is all about!
Daddy made Valentine's Day extra special. He brought home some roses for me and a rose with a bear for Isla. She made sure the bear could smell the rose. She was so happy. I hope she always knows how much her daddy loves her.
Mimi came and visited us. We took her to the museum.
Isla really likes to help with chores. Mimi and Isla helped me out a lot!
It finally reached about 40 degrees, so we decided to go to the zoo. We took Nana and Pop Pop with us. Isla loved seeing the animals, especially the monkeys.
The next day was about 50 degrees, so we ventured out to Sugar Grove Nature Center. We went on a mini hike and then explored the Imagination Play Area. It was incredibly muddy, but we loved it. I can't wait to come back all the time in the spring and summer.
Lots of random events, but wanted to make sure I sent updates! Talk to you soon.
